Help Make Casa’s New House a Home

Dec 15, 2016

Years ago, you dreamed with us as we created a five-year vision. Your time, talents, resources and prayers have made these dreams a reality. Local leaders were raised from the community, a diverse Board of Directors took leadership, teams of committed volunteers sprang into action, and now — as we write this — we are preparing to move into our new “house”: a multi-use community center in the heart of Chirilagua.

Thank you for your partnership. Thank you for your generous support, your time, your friendship and your prayers. You have been, and continue to be a blessing to the community. You have affected so many lives in Chirilagua, and we are so grateful for you!

Dream with us about a future where this community center becomes a warm home to our neighbors. Imagine with us the beautiful memories waiting to be created: Kids Club celebrations, Bible study gatherings, mentoring moments, and family dinners. Envision with us, a future home with English language, financial literacy and other classes for adults, as well as a safe and loving place for children during summers and after school.

Thank you for dreaming, imagining, and envisioning alongside us. You’ve helped make these past dreams a reality. Together, we can make this new house a home.

Will you consider including Casa in your 2016 year end giving?

We are a community of people “learning together to love our neighbors as ourselves” in a Latino neighborhood in Alexandria, Virginia.

As a faith-based Christian non-profit with a small staff and over 100 volunteers, we serve alongside more than 100 families and their children (1st-12th grades) each week through our community programs.

Our relational network of volunteers and donors reflects a diverse group of individuals from all over the Washington, D.C. metro area. As a non-profit, we rely on the community for assisting program directors on-site, being mentors, supplying the needs of our food pantry, and everything in between. Each member of our Casa community holds a unique gift, whether time, talent or treasure.
