On the third Thursday of each month, a student from the community, Lina, coordinates a gathering for local high school students to interact with local professionals. She collects the professional areas of interest from each student and then reaches out to networks of Latino professionals working in those industries. Lina asks them to share their personal struggles, pathways of training and their professional experiences with high school students to inspire them to overcome obstacles and achieve their dreams. Thus far, students have heard from a graphic designer, communications director, interior designer, engineer, lawyer, social worker, and an accountant.
