Introducing four new part-time staff members

September is a big month for Casa as we launch our 2013/14 programs and hire four new, part-time staff members. Please join us in welcoming our newest Casa compadres!

Matt and Rachel Hoppe, Teens Club Co-Directors
teensclub@casachirilagua.org

Matt and Rachel, resident neighbors in Chirilagua since 2009, already spend countless hours volunteering in the neighborhood, opening up their lives to our students and their families. They will be working together as a team investing in our teen students and their families and further establishing our Teens Club program by helping our students identify and develop their God-given talents and passions.

Jennifer Zambrano, Assistant Kids Club Director
jennifer@casachirilagua.org

Jennifer, a former Casa intern, older sibling of two Kids Club students and long-term resident of Chirilagua, is assisting our Kids Club Director, Elizabeth, with a variety of program needs including spearheading our literacy intervention program. She will be mentored by staff members in her role at Kids Club and will be completing her high school diploma early through the T.C. Williams Satellite Program.

Joy Cho, Business Manager
joy@casachirilagua.org

Joy, a key administrative volunteer, already spends numerous hours volunteering in the Casa office helping our current Business Manager, Julia Simerly, with our accounting and finance practices. Julia will be leaving us at the end of September at which point Joy will take over all accounting and business management tasks. We are grateful for Julia’s contribution to the Casa Chirilagua team and look forward to welcoming Joy in her administrative role.

Please join us in welcoming our new staff members and thanking God for this next chapter in the life of Casa Chirilagua!
