Mi Casa es su Casa!

Casa Chirilagua 5K 2013

“Mi Casa es su Casa!” You’ve heard the phrase, you’ve seen the t-shirts, and you may even have one. What do we really mean when we say the phrase and wear the shirt? At Casa Chirilagua, we are one big family from kids to supporters, parents to partner churches, and from staff to volunteers. At the center of everything we do is a relational connectedness. These relationships are what hold us together and make our programs flourish.

On March 15th, we are hosting a family gathering and everyone is invited! We will eat together. We will pray together. We will engage in activities and discuss how we further become a family with deeper relationships, where all voices are heard, and community leaders are empowered to lead the transformation they hope to see in our neighborhood. It is my prayer we will all leave empowered, humbled and a bit more reconciled with a clearer vision of how God is moving through Casa and the roll each of us plays in the process. We hope you will join us. If you can’t make it, please pray for us!

Then on April 9th we will come together again as a community for our annual Spring2Action event. Casa is celebrating 7 years in the neighborhood by setting a goal to raise $70,000 from 700 people in 24 hours! We will need ALL hands on deck AND your network of friends and family. YOU have the chance to help us win $17,000 in grants! This will be our largest giving day ever and we invite all of our family to do their part so together, we can reach our goal.

At Casa we believe in the power of prayer so we also utilize these 24 hours of excitement to give thanks and intercede by organizing Spring2Prayer. Join our 24-hour concert of prayer by signing up for a 30 minute slot: bit.ly/prayapril9

Please mark your calendar for April 9th and Spring2Action with a financial gift, online promotion and prayer.

Let’s do this together with God’s help because “Mi Casa es su Casa”!
