Kids Club celebrated the end of the school year with one last field trip – to the pool!  42 children + swimming at the pool =  lots of excitement and lots of smiles!

Our kids have worked hard this school year and we are so proud of all of them and the progress they have made! Each student received an unique award celebrating their individual accomplishments and talents. Some of these exemplary characteristics and achievements were: Bible Scholar, Never Gives Up, Others First, Kids Club Role Model, Most Improved Reader, Participation Award.

The Kids Club parents also ended the year strong. Thanks to the organization and dedication of the new parent board leadership, the parents have accomplished much. Over the past three months, they raised over $2,500 for Kids Club in various fundraisers, including a raffle, a food sale, and a yard sale. We are continuously impressed with their ideas, dedication, and teamwork, and we look forward to what more is to come in the future!

We are a community of people “learning together to love our neighbors as ourselves” in a Latino neighborhood in Alexandria, Virginia.

As a faith-based Christian non-profit with a small staff and over 100 volunteers, we serve alongside more than 100 families and their children (1st-12th grades) each week through our community programs.
