Feels Like Family

Sep 19, 2011

“This is just like a home!” exclaimed little Estefany, when she walked into the new Kids Club space, excited for her very first day. As she was introduced to the “library, study and family room”, she felt right at home. When the students were assigned to their groups for the day, Jose commented, “Are we going to stay in these groups all year? It’s like a family!” At the end of our first day another boy smiled and commented to a volunteer, “Kids Club got a lot cooler!”

We are thankful to see our kids and families again. It is good to know that the children feel right at home, even as if they are with family in a really “cool” environment. We are grateful for the new remodeled space which gives us so many more options in running our program and using space.
