Partner Organization of 2011-12: Restoration Anglican Church

The 2011-2012 partner organization of the year contributes their time, talent and treasure to support the mission and vision of Casa Chirilagua. This congregation logged over 400 hours of volunteer time at Kids Club and through the mentoring program. In addition to these volunteer hours, they have given of their time and talent by offering professional services such as building databases, contributing graphic design services, serving on the Casa Chirilagua board and helping write grants. By way of treasure, they have given generously of their funds by donating to Casa Chirilagua $20,000 in 2011 and $12,000 in 2012.

For their radical and generous contribution, partnering in Kingdom work with Casa Chirilagua we name Restoration Anglican Church the 2011-2012 Casa Chirilagua Partner Organization of the year.

 

We are a community of people “learning together to love our neighbors as ourselves” in a Latino neighborhood in Alexandria, Virginia.

As a faith-based Christian non-profit with a small staff and over 100 volunteers, we serve alongside more than 100 families and their children (1st-12th grades) each week through our community programs.

Our relational network of volunteers and donors reflects a diverse group of individuals from all over the Washington, D.C. metro area. As a non-profit, we rely on the community for assisting program directors on-site, being mentors, supplying the needs of our food pantry, and everything in between. Each member of our Casa community holds a unique gift, whether time, talent or treasure.
