Invest in Tomorrow’s Leaders, Volunteer at Kids Club

Sep 2, 2014

Come share in laying a foundation for the emergence of local leaders at Kids Club. We already have 21 Kids Club volunteers trained and ready to jump in to working alongside our kids to help them to discover their gifts. We’d like to have at least 10 more volunteers join this year’s team, which would allow us to have one adult for three students.   If you know anyone 16 or older who can commit to one day a week from 3pm-5pm  partnering with our students in their academic, social, and spiritual growth, send them our way! We desire all talents and gifts – our kids have learned about knitting, working on engineering for airplanes, serving in the CIA, all from conversations with volunteers in the midst of doing homework and reading!   Share life with us at Kids Club, and join our kids in discovering their own potential to be leaders in their community.

We are a community of people “learning together to love our neighbors as ourselves” in a Latino neighborhood in Alexandria, Virginia.

As a faith-based Christian non-profit with a small staff and over 100 volunteers, we serve alongside more than 100 families and their children (1st-12th grades) each week through our community programs.

Our relational network of volunteers and donors reflects a diverse group of individuals from all over the Washington, D.C. metro area. As a non-profit, we rely on the community for assisting program directors on-site, being mentors, supplying the needs of our food pantry, and everything in between. Each member of our Casa community holds a unique gift, whether time, talent or treasure.
