D’s Corner: New Year

Jan 13, 2013

Happy New Year! We are so grateful to God and our supporters for the love and financial support that poured in during 2012 December year-end giving. Our community of support has been very generous, and we are so thankful that in the midst of incredible expansion and in the midst of a looming fiscal cliff, we ended 2012 (our second year of official operation) firmly in the black. This is propelling us forward into 2013 with affirmation and much confidence. The Lord, through the generosity of individuals, is faithful to provide for our needs, over and over again!

The new year, for many of us, is a time of reflection on the past year and projection for the year to come. We at Casa have spent quite a bit of time reflecting on the past year, making assessments and meeting and praying about how to move forward in 2013. We have a few changes coming over the next several months to help move us from “operational” to “excellent” in all we do. We can’t wait to share this journey with you, our community of support, over the coming year.  Please keep us in your prayers as we seek to navigate the narrow path to bring our best to the surrounding community for the glory of our heavenly Father.

Wishing You a Blessed 2013,

Dawnielle

Our relational network of volunteers and donors reflects a diverse group of individuals from all over the Washington, D.C. metro area. As a non-profit, we rely on the community for assisting program directors on-site, being mentors, supplying the needs of our food pantry, and everything in between. Each member of our Casa community holds a unique gift, whether time, talent or treasure.
