Perfect Attendance is not for the weak

Mar 7, 2011

Never being absent is hard for anyone. But we had 6 students who had perfect attendance for the first semester of Kids Club and 6 more students who only missed one day. To reward these students for their hard work, they went on two field trips: Disney on Ice (box suite!) and Madame Tussand’s Wax Museum.

The perfect attendance kid were treated to Disney on Ice: Princess Wishes by one of our wonderful mentors. We even got to sit in a box suite! We had our own bathroom in the suite! But more than that, it was an invaluable and precious time for the girls to dream the dreams and have the hope that children their age should have.

Our relational network of volunteers and donors reflects a diverse group of individuals from all over the Washington, D.C. metro area. As a non-profit, we rely on the community for assisting program directors on-site, being mentors, supplying the needs of our food pantry, and everything in between. Each member of our Casa community holds a unique gift, whether time, talent or treasure.
